You can use Talk at the beginning of a fight, no Hold Up required. There are times when talking to mobs that you already have in your party, can be a better and safer bet than pressing on if you're in a bit of a pinch.

I've come to this comment section for a single reason; to be one of the few people who DOES still care and IS still around for it. Budokai 2 is my favorite of ALL the old Budokai OR Tenkaichi series so seeing you play through it is fantastic. I'm still holding out hope you'll do Budoaki 3 and the Tenkaichi series into Infinite World and (the dreaded) Ultimate Tenkaichi before Sparking Zero, but whether you do or not I'm cool with it. All in all, enjoy yourself king 👑

my journey with this channel has been wild. subbed for the budokai lets play, fell off the channel because i didnt care for the rest of the fighting game content, came back when tekken 8 came out cuz tekken is the one and only fighting game i care about. glad i stuck around, your and phidx's content keeps me motivated to get better. anyways, would love to see this series finished

Kinda out of topic: I know sparking zero is close to releasing and I'm super hyped for it, but personally I always enjoy the budokai series more and I hope they revive budokai like they did with budokai tenkaichi with sparking zero.

Ngl although the Reina nerfs still left her viable as a new player who committed to her I could feel them hard (w/ the crouching status stuff specifically)and it was enough to drop her for now. It’s pretty frustrating but I’ve picked up Asuka and leo(partially) and I will say it’s kinda crazy how much quicker I’ve been able to make progress as them. It doesn’t feel like I get as stuck like I did with Reina and especially with asuka I feel like I can actually play defense and do literally everything more consistently.
